Arsenal legend Ian Wright is delighted that Arsene Wenger has committed himself to a new deal.

He wrote in The Sun: "There was a point this summer when I had major doubts if he would be staying. Hopefully the next step will be to see David Dein back on board.

"Majority shareholder Danny Fiszman does not want him anywhere near the Emirates. This is clearly a mistake. But I do wonder if Wenger's decision to sign for three years is based on information that we don't know yet.

"After all, David has now linked up with a Russian billionaire. And despite Fiszman, I still think we will see David back, which can only be a good thing."
