Arsenal legend Ian Wright feels Andre Villas-Boas wasn't ready to take the Chelsea job.
Wright wrote in The Sun: "I genuinely believe the right move - even though it would have taken a hugely brave man to do it - would have been to knock it back.
"I know how difficult that would have been, given the way his star was rising and how he was being feted across the game.
"There are certain jobs you feel are just too good to turn down - England for Steve McClaren and Celtic for John Barnes spring to mind. But sometimes that is the way you have to go.
"Let's face it, AVB was on a hiding to nothing from day one."
