Arsenal legend Wright urges Liverpool's Gerrard to be careful with injury recovery

Arsenal legend Ian Wright hopes Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard gives himself enough time to recover fully from his ankle complaint.

Wright opined in his column for The Sun: "I'm sure that Fabio Capello - along with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish - is becoming increasingly concerned by his lack of matches.

"This latest problem is an infected ankle which could rule him out for up to a month, so at least it doesn't sound as serious as his previous issues.

"If anything, he sounds a bit unlucky.

"But I really hope Liverpool do not rush him back too early as I think this may have been the case before. And the same goes for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, who is sidelined with an extremely serious ankle problem."
