Arsenal legend Wright: Time for Moyes to leave Everton

Arsenal legend Ian Wright feels it's the right time for David Moyes to walk away from Everton.

Wright wrote in the The Sun: "Everton have once again done incredibly well but I think they will lose against Arsenal and will just miss out on a place in Europe.

"The biggest worry for Toffees fans is not just whether they will be playing in the Champions League or even the Europa League - it is whether Moyes will be manager next season.

"I am a massive fan of the Goodison boss but I would not blame him if he decides to walk away in the summer.

"Given the club's current financial situation, I'm not convinced he can take the club any further.

"Moyes' contract runs out at the end of the season and it is clear he is waiting for some assurances before committing.

"He is within his rights to hold out. Moyes has done unbelievably well in his 11 years but, unless he is given more money to spend, I cannot see him getting Everton into the top four. No manager would be able to achieve that.

"But Moyes deserves the chance to manage in the Champions League."
