Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned the decision making at Tottenham.
Wright wrote in The Sun: "Spurs are certainly not where they want to be. And Levy will be sweating as much as Villas-Boas because he really needs this appointment to work after dismissing Harry Redknapp, who had taken the club to fourth spot.
"Do not forget that Levy is the man who got rid of Martin Jol after he had turned Spurs from a mid-table side into one qualifying for Europe. He then appointed Juande Ramos, who was a disaster.
"By dismissing Redknapp, despite a decent finish, Levy made a rod for his own back.
"I have no doubt he has Tottenham's best interests at heart but some Spurs supporters will now be thinking he made a mistake."
