Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned the England call for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.
Sterling, 17, was part of the squad for last night's 1-1 draw with Ukraine.
Wright told The Sun: "It's a sign of the times, isn't it? Sterling has played only a few games for Liverpool this season and now he is in the England squad.
"Lallana has just arrived in the Premier League with Southampton and Livermore is just starting to play regularly at Tottenham.
"I am all for giving young players experience and a chance.
"But what happened to letting someone like Sterling find his way in the Under-21s?
"That's the way it is now. The same thing happened with Theo Walcott."
