Arsenal legend Ian Wright was delighted for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after his England debut.
Wright wrote in The Sun: "I was really pleased to see him in there but admit I was a bit worried because if it hadn't gone well it could have shot his confidence.
"But he overcame that and showed plenty that gave real optimism for the future. A couple of times the ball ran away from him a bit, but once he takes things a bit more slowly at times - and that will come with experience - we're in for a treat.
"For a kid he did really well, and when he realises he is easily up to playing at this level - and he is - then he can be a major player for England for years to come."
