Arsenal legend Wright can't see Guardiola wanting to work for Chelsea owner Abramovich

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned why Pep Guardiola would subject himself to the chaos at Roman Abramovich's Chelsea.

Wright wrote in The Sun: "Everyone can see Pep Guardiola is the man Roman clearly covets above everyone else.

"But the way the owner's gone about things, you'd have to question why he'd want to put his neck in the noose. There are already murmurs Pep isn't as keen on it as people maybe once thought. Suggestions are he is really waiting for the Manchester United - or possibly even City - jobs, because at least the owners there are prepared to give time to get it right.

"And let's be honest, that's not something you expect from Abramovich, from the day you walk into the club.

"Roman has shown he doesn't give a hoot about what the fans think, never more than when turning to Rafa Benitez.

"You would be hard-pushed to find a Blues supporter happy at the prospect.

"He's become like a kid in the biggest toy shop in the world, who simply moves on to the next thing to catch his eye as soon as things get slightly rocky."
