Arsenal legend Winterburn fears Van Persie preparing to leave

Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn fears time is running out to keep hold of Robin van Persie.

He showed his frustration in last week’s defeat to Man United when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was replaced by the Andrey Arshavin.

Winterburn told the Daily Star Sunday: “I know Robin loves Arsenal but you saw his reaction when Oxlade-Chamberlain was brought off and at the end of the game.

“It was as if he was staring into a black hole. You wonder what he was thinking – it was almost like ‘oh no not again’. I do hope he stays but his reaction was worrying.”
