Arsenal legend Wilson: Wenger would've walked if FA Cup final lost

Arsenal legend Bob Wilson believes Arsene Wenger would've left the club if they'd been beaten in the FA Cup final.

Wilson, who played for Arsenal between 1963 and 1974, clocking up nearly 300 appearances for the club, believes the Frenchman would have had to consider whether he was still wanted at the club had they gone ten years without a trophy.

Wilson told BBC FIVE Live: "I think it is something he would have looked very closely at and said, 'Well, maybe this is the time to do it'.

"I know him well enough to know that he would have taken a look and said, 'Look, they really don't want me here'.

"I think it would have been really interesting to have seen what Arsene'e reaction would have been if there had been a massive amount of dissenting voices if Arsenal had lost."
