Arsenal legend Sol Campbell holds Oxford talks

Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has held talks with Oxford United about the manager's job.

David Unsworth was ruled out of the running for the role, and according to Sky Sports News, Oxford are looking at other candidates including the ex-Arsenal icon.

Everton coach Unsworth was apparently in the running for the job, but reportedly decided on Wednesday that he had rejected the move.

Oxford were also interested in recruiting Chelsea legend Frank Lampard for the job at Kassam Park, but he too admitted he wasn't interested.

It seems now they are turning to Sol Campbell, who has no previous experience in management, apart from being in the backroom staff for the Trinidad and Tobago national side.
