Arsenal legend Robert Pires has weighed into Arsene Wenger's transfer plans.

Pires has told Arsenal to keep Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez AND buy Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have been linked with moves for both French strikers but face competition from other clubs.

While Sanchez and Ozil could leave with their contracts ticking down.

But Pires believes they should keep them and add to their squad.

"The most important thing is to keep Sanchez and Ozil and if they buy Lacazette and Mbappe," he said.

"Arsenal can do both - they can extend the contracts of Sanchez and Ozil and why not buy two or three players?

"If Arsene buys some players they can lift the Premier League trophy."
