Arsenal fans need to get behind their manager Arsene Wenger, says club legend Robert Pires.

The Frenchman recently signed a two-year contract extension despite growing calls from supporters for him to walk away.

"I understand that some fans are critical of him, but the most important thing is to believe him and believe in the team," said Pires at the launch of the club's new kit.

"I'm a privileged man because I can still train with the first team. I can see that Arsene Wenger is the same guy and the same manager he has been for a long, long time.

"He knows the most important thing when you manage Arsenal is to win the Premier League."
