Arsenal legend Ian Wright has revealed he could've been a Chelsea star.

Wright says Chelsea wanted to sign him after he handed in a transfer request at Arsenal.

Speaking on a Sky Sports programme celebrating his career, Wright said: "Glenn Hoddle wanted me to go to Chelsea.

"I would have gone reluctantly because I felt I was being pushed out the club. I didn't get on with Bruce Rioch at all.

"I felt like he had to make a point to try and show he was the boss - he didn't have to do that.

"At Bolton, from the tea lady to the chairman, if he was walking the corridor everyone would move out his way."
