Arsenal legend Henry worried by Spurs - 'They are getting it right'

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has admitted that he is concerned regarding the rapid progress Tottenham Hotspur have made over the last few years.

Spurs have long been in the shadow of their more successful rivals Arsenal but they are currently heading in the right direction under Mauricio Pochettino while on the other hand, the Gunners seem to have remained stagnant and are perhaps even regressing in recent years.

Arsenal hero Henry has been left impressed with the progress Spurs have made and has admitted that he is concerned regarding the rapid rise of the Gunners' fierce North London rivals.

Henry wrote in his column for The Sun: “They are battling for the league now.

“Pochettino has drilled into them that they need to see the bigger picture. And I think they do.

“He is doing an excellent job and taking the club in the right direction. Their future looks bright. They have all their best players on long-term deals, which sends a good signal to potential signings. The new stadium is coming on. They play good football.

“But with just two trophies in a quarter of a century, now is the time for them to back it up with silverware. To attract the best players, Spurs need to show they are winning things too. The FA Cup this season would be a good start, having drawn Millwall in the quarters.

“Spurs are solid, a tight-knit unit with good togetherness and cohesion. But I would say the strength in depth is not there yet. They need about four more quality players.

“If Harry Kane is not playing, they miss him badly. Heung-Min Son did well at the start of the season while Vincent Janssen has not quite been up to it.

“They are not far off. That's what worries me - Tottenham are finally getting it right."
