Arsenal legend Henry turns down Bordeaux

Thierry Henry has turned down the offer to take over French side Bordeaux, according to Sky Sports News.

TheArsenal icon left his role as a pundit for Sky ahead of the World Cup, where he joined the Belgian national team to assist Roberto Martinez.

Now, the 41-year-old Frenchman is looking for a head coach role but wasn't impressed with Ligue 1 club's offer and was worried about the investments Bordeaux would make in the future.

Bordeaux suspended Gus Poyet from the head coach role after he publicly called the club 'a disgrace' following the sale of Gaetan Laborde to Montpellier without him being consulted.

Bordeaux, who are currently in negotiations with General American Capital Partners investment fund, will turn their attention to former Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri.
