Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has apologised for his hand-ball disgrace.

The Barcelona star set up the extra-time chance that sent France through 2-1 on aggregate and denied the furious Irish a place in the World Cup finals.

Henry posted a message on his Twitter website that said: "I'm not the referee... but if I hurt someone I'm sorry."
