Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has slammed QPR captain Joey Barton over his Twitter attack on former manager Neil Warnock.

Dixon put the boot into football's notorious bad boy for showing a lack of respect towards Warnock.

Dixon told the Daily Star: "I was always brought up to respect managers.

"Sometimes you don't like a manager. I had run-ins with George Graham. You don't like the manager but there's always respect there.

"To come out and say things after the event, I think it should be kept in-house.

"There should be respect. That's how I was brought up and that's what I believe in."
