Arsenal legend Lee Dixon sees Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs as the club's future.

Both players are also being tipped for long England careers.

"It's important that Gibbs and Jenkinson are both in the side together," Dixon told arsenal.com. "They can learn off each other. It's sometimes good to have a similar type of player who is around the same age in the team.

"Nigel [Winterburn] and me were similar. I always saw us as a pair. Even though you play on opposite sides of the pitch, you can play off each other. I learnt a lot from Nigel. He was a superb defender and his tackling was excellent. They can learn off each other, especially in training."
