Arsenal legend Adams: We must have Wenger succession plan NOW

Arsenal legend Tony Adams says the club should have a succession plan in place for Arsene Wenger.

Adams suspects boss Wenger may be nearing the end of his 17-year-reign as Paris Saint-Germain pursue him.

And he says Arsenal must start planning for that day NOW - with his football knowledge as part of the process.

He told The Sun: "They should be lining up the new manager. Chief executive Ivan Gazidis is in a tricky situation and I think he could do with some help.

"I don't think any other coach can do any better than Arsene. But it always comes down to players.

"You can't win things if you keep selling your best players."
