Arsenal legend Tony Adams says Liverpool players should've rallied to Loris Karius immediately after the final whistle in Kiev.
Karius had an evening to forget in the Champions League final after being at fault for two of Real Madrid goals in Liverpool's 3-1 defeat.
The German shot stopper cut an isolated figure as the final whistle went after being abandoned by his team-mates on the pitch in Kiev.
Adams says the scene reminded him of David Beckham's infamous dismissal against Argentina 20 years ago when petulantly kicked out at Diego Simone in the World Cup last 16.
He said: “I was the only guy that consoled Beckham and I just had a bit of fun with him.
“I knew him well and we come from the same part of the world.
“I tried to lighten things up and said: 'Look you're young, you'll have lots of other opportunities. That was my last one you bastard!'
“He laughed and it kind of broke him out of his tears, sometimes you need other players around you."
