Arsenal legend Adams overlooked for Elfsborg job

Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams has been overlooked for the manager's role at Swedish club Elfsborg.

The 45-year old applied for the job after doing well in Azerbaijan with FC Gabala but was not successful as Elfsborg wanted a Swedish boss in charge.

Adams, who has also managed Portsmouth and Wycombe Wanderers, missed out to Elfsborg's U21s boss Jorgen Lennartsson.
