Arsenal will leave want-away striker Robin van Persie in London for their preseason tour of Asia.

The Sun says Van Persie will not travel with his team-mates today for a pre-season trip to the Far East.

But England stars Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be on the trip, even though they did not return to the club until Thursday.

Van Persie returned to training on Monday and then told boss Arsene Wenger he wanted a move.

He will now remain in London with new signing Lukas Podolski.
