Olympiakos keeper Antonis Nikopolidis kept Arsenal at bay until two goals in the final 12 minutes gave the Gunners a deserved 2-0 victory at the Emirates.

Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin scored the goals which continues Arsenal's 100% start in Champions League Group H.

The Gunners played some outstanding football but found Greek stopper Nikopolidis in superb form.

Even when the 38 year old was beaten the woodwork came to his rescue as Cesc Fabregas hit the bar.

Van Persie opened the scoring on 78 minutes from Eduardo's cross and the impressive Andrey Arshavin sealed the game with four minutes remaining.
