Arsenal have dropped their interest in Freiburg youngster Matthais Ginter.

Ginter has attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester United since the turn of the year. However, the Mirror says Arsenal have gone cold on the defensive midfielder.

Earlier this month, Ginter remarked about Premier League rumours: "If it is true, I am of course honoured and excited.

"On the other hand, there is still a long way to the summer."
