Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is launching a £15 million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez. The Daily Mail says Arsene Wenger wants to sign a new centre-forward in January after accepting he has not managed to fill the void left by former skipper Robin van Persie, who departed for Manchester United for £24m during the summer.

Wenger will dispatch one of his scouts to watch the Atletico Madrid forward play against Real Sociedad on Sunday.
