Wales youth chief Brian Flynn has likened Arsenal youngster Aaron Ramsey to Manchester United star Paul Scholes.
Flynn sees elements of a young Scholes in Ramsey.
"Aaron's strength is in and around the penalty box and I think he will become an attacking midfielder, creating things in the final third. Technically, like Scholes he is very, very good at shooting from distance with both feet," said Flynn.
"What he hasn't shown for us at the moment is getting goals inside the six-yard box and around the penalty spot, which is something Scholes excelled at, but it will come."
His former Cardiff City boss Dave Jones, too, is convinced Ramsey will become a vital cog in the Arsenal midfield once he has developed physically.
"He's growing, he is getting stronger and he will get more powerful," said Jones. "But you can play the kid anywhere, I played him at full back and he did a job.
"He has got a silkiness about him, he doesn't look quick but he goes past people with ease."
