Arsenal's 17 year-old Dutch striker Nacer Barazite is hoping for a first team chance in this season's Carling Cup.

"I am very happy if I perform well," he told Arsenal.com. "That is what I am here to do, to perform well for the Club, for the team. If I score a hat-trick like I did at the weekend (for the U18s) then that's great for me, but first I am here to perform for the team.

"I definitely have my eye on the Carling Cup squad this season, but if I don't play well like I can, then I have no right to be there. Hopefully though I can continue my good form with this team and stand a chance of making the next squad."
