Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is confident he has the full backing of manager Arsene Wenger.

Emiliano Viviano arrived last month on-loan from Palermo.

"It is important that the manager has confidence in me. I do not go to him to ask if and when a new keeper would be signed.

"I train hard and try to repay him with good performances.

"I'm not afraid of competition," he told Gazeta Wyborcza.
