Brentford boss Andy Scott has completed the loan signings of Ipswich defender Pim Balkestein and Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny. Dutchman Balkestein, 22, and 19-year-old Poland international Szczesny have both agreed month-long switches to Griffin Park.

Scott said: "We are very fortunate to have been able to take Pim on loan. Wojciech is another good signing for the club and he brings with him more of the quality that we are looking to introduce to the squad."
