Arsenal have entered the race for Hoffenheim midfielder Kerim Demirbay.
The Evening Standard claim Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has recommended the German as a potential summer signing.
With Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey yet to sign new contracts with Arsenal, manager Arsene Wenger is said to be assessing other options.
One of those appears to be Demirbay, who will be available for £20million in the summer.
Demirbay played a pivotal role in Hoffenheim's improbable fourth-place finish last season. However, injuries have disrupted him during the 2017/18 campaign.
The 24-year-old is also a target for Liverpool, who are also assessing other options for their midfield as Emre Can looks set to leave the club at the end of the season as a free agent.
