Arsenal are tracking SC Freiburg midfielder Matthias Ginter.
The Germany youth international has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks.
However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had scouts posted at the recent DFB Cup semifinal to run the rule over Ginter in action against Stuttgart.
