Arsenal insist they're not about to write the Van Persie family out of their history.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal fans feared the club might be reacting to Robin van Persie's move to Manchester United when the modern abstract sculpture by his artist father Bob was taken down from display on the stairs up to the VIP area at the Emirates Stadium.

But the club say it was removed because the wall was being painted and will be back in place for the match against Southampton.
