Arsenal are in talks with Japanese sensation Takuma Asano.

The Gunners have approached Sanfrecce Hiroshima over a deal for the striker. The 21-year-old has scored 25 goals in 88 games for his club and is a full Japan international.

Asano is expected to be named in Japan's squad for the Rio Olympics later this summer.

The Japan Times claim no fee has yet be discussed with negotiations still at an early stage.

Junichi Inamoto and Ryo Miyaichi have previously been brought to the club, but neither made a breakthrough into Wenger's senior side.
