Arsenal are stepping up their interest in Valencia striker Goncalo Guedes.

The Gunners have been following the Portugal international this season as he has made the most of his loan from PSG.

Valencia coach Marcelino has already stated he'd like to keep hold of Guedes and Spanish media sources say talks are underway with PSG over a fee of €30-35m to make his loan permanent.

Guedes' initial deal is for a straight loan with no buy option.

Parisian media sources claim Arsenal are also making their pitch now after making contact with Guedes' agent, Jorge Mendes. The striker plays in a similar fashion to Alexis Sanchez and would be an ideal replacement for the Chilean.
