Arsenal are closing on a deal for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.

The Gunners have made an approach to sign Lemina.

That is according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, who claim the Gunners have now stepped up their interest by holding initial talks with the Serie A champions.

Palmeri tweeted: "Arsenal have contacted Juventus for Lemina."

This comes after the Gabon international admitted this week that he is flattered by Arsenal's interest in him.
