Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini was left impressed by young striker Chuba Akpom after the 4-0 win against a Singapore Select XI on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Arsenal academy graduate scored a hat-trick as the Gunners cruised into the final, where they will face Everton on Saturday.
Flamini has backed the youngster to continue his fine form into the season.
"He's in a very good team and he took his opportunities well against Singapore," the French midfielder told the club's official website. "It's just important for him to now keep his belief, work hard and show that he has the quality when he is given another opportunity.
"The boss gave him the chance against Singapore and he performed well. He responded to every chance that he had and took his goals very well."
