Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Barcelona star Lionel Messi after the Argentine's brace helped the Catalans to a 3-0 win over Bayern Munich.

Messi scored two goals in three minutes and also provided an assist for Neymar's goal in injury-time as Barca drew first blood in the Champions League semi-final first leg and the dazzling display was not lost on his former teammate.

Henry said on Sky Sports: "In the second half, there was not a lot between the two teams but then Lionel Messi decided to win the game.

"He wanted to win that game and he has done it again. How many times will we find ourselves in this situation, talking about him? He is superb."
