Arsenal are chasing Freiburg midfielder Matthias Ginter.
The Mirror says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been tracking Ginter, 19, for some time.
He hopes by sending Francis Coquelin to the German club on a year-long loan, will help in negotiations for Ginter.
Borussia Dortmund are battling Arsenal for the teen.
