Arsenal are looking to step up their interest in Atletico Madrid's Mario Suarez according to reports.
The Express suggests that the Gunners are determined to land the 27-year old defensive midfielder this winter and are expected to make an official offer soon.
Atletico have added speculation to Suarez's proposed move to north London by signing veteran midfielder Ruben 'Cani' Gracia from Villarreal.
However, the Gunners will have to compete with Italian club Napoli who are also showing considerable interest in former Mallorca man Suarez.
