Arsenal hero Nigel Winterburn says questions must be raised if they fail to win a trophy this season.
The former left-back was reacting to yesterday's Carling Cup final defeat to Birmingham City.
"If Arsenal can go on and win something this season, it [losing the Carling Cup final] won't be such a disaster," he told talkSPORT.
"We don't know if they've got the character [to recover from it] and that's going to be tested. They've got individual quality and superb team play but sometimes you have to have a mental strength.
"It would be wrong to say they haven't got that, but there'll be a huge spotlight on them now and questions asked for the rest of the season. Let's make that judgement call at the end of the season.
"But there will be a lot of questions asked of them if they don't win something this season. They're still in a fabulous position, but they've got to go on and win something."
