Arsenal hero Robert Pires believes Olivier Giroud is edging closer to an exit next month.
Giroud has admitted he could seek a loan move to keep his World Cup hopes alive.
Pires told Goal: "I saw a good reaction (from Arsenal) when Southampton scored and a good Olivier Giroud, very professional, who made the difference.
"The situation is not easy for him because he wants to play and participate in the World Cup with France. As a player, he is not comfortable but it's football and Arsène Wenger is facing a dilemma between Giroud and Lacazette today.
"If I were Giroud, the first thing I would do would be to talk to Arsène Wenger because he is the coach. Giroud is a great player and he is very important. But before making a decision, he must meet Arsene and the general manager Mr Gazidis. After this meeting, he will be able to make a decision but from what I understood in the situation of Olivier, he is not at ease in reality."
