Arsenal hero Paul Merson believes Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will be snubbed by the players for the Player of the year award.

Merson is a big fan of the Uruguayan.

But he told Absolute Radio: "I like him, I think he's outstanding footballer, he's one of those players I love watching, he gives a hundred per cent every week, his work rate is phenomenal. The only thing is I don't know if other players are going to vote for him.

"Well, I like him, but that ain't going to win him player of the year."
