Arsenal hero Martin Keown says the players aren't responding to manager Unai Emery.

Keown was reacting to Arsenal's defeat at Chelsea on Saturday. Emery has vowed not to change his passing style, having taken over from Arsene Wenger this summer.

And Keown said, “It's about giving the message to the players and them reacting.

“In these results he has not been able to do that. They are not taking on board the messages he is giving them.

“It's going to be a difficult week for him. I expect them to beat West Ham next week but they need to improve.

“How many games did Arsene Wenger manage? It's 1,000-plus games and it's a philosophy that you cannot change overnight.

“I find it disappointing they haven't improved further. They don't look right and need to radically change the system and look."
