Arsenal hero Martin Keown has defended Chelsea star Ashley Cole over his FA row.

Cole labelled football chiefs a 'bunch of t***s' following the release of the full report into John Terry's race-row ban.

But Keown suggested fans should have more sympathy over the 31-year-old's outburst.

"Getting involved in what he has been involved in at the moment has been unfortunate," he said.

"He has been misunderstood to a large extent."
