Former Arsenal captain Gilberto Silva has helped Manchester City sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
The Sun says City have a verbal agreement in place to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred in the summer, according to reports.
The Brazilian — who is represented by Arsenal Invincible Gilberto Silva — has been on the radar of the Etihad club for a number of months but have been unable to agree terms.
Now it is being reported by renowned Portuguese journalist Marcus Alves that a deal is in place for £50million-rated Fred to make his Premier League move.
The report goes on to say that Gilberto took over from his previous agent, who is Ronaldinho's brother, and helped in negotiations with City last month.
