Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Davis feels Mesut Ozil needs a break.
Davis believes Ozil is simply knackered.
"When he first arrived he really looked as though he was enjoying it and going to take the Premier League by storm," he told talkSPORT.
"In truth, fourth or fifth game in you could see he was getting way down with pressure or the amount of games and pace of the games that kept coming thick and fast. He needed a break out of it, a rest, to recharge his energies.
"There's no doubt he's a talent, when he first came the other players around him upped their game 20 per cent. I feel the pace and number of games have really hit him, coming from Spain."
