Arsenal remain confident of signing Monaco winger Thomas Lemar in January.
The Daily Star says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger launched a £92million bid for Lemar on deadline day after originally accepting Manchester City's £60m bid for Alexis Sanchez.
However, the Gunners pulled the plug on the move, as Wenger realised he didn't have enough time to find a replacement for the Chilean.
And Arsenal will go after Lemar again when the window reopens in January.
The report claims a five-year deal has been agreed in principle.
