Arsenal happy to meet QPR buyout clause for Loic Remy

Arsenal are closing on a deal for QPR striker Loic Remy. The Sunday Express says his Loftus Road contract allows him to leave for £10million and Remy would love to move to the Emirates.

Wenger has spoken to Marseille, one of Remy's former clubs, about the 27-year-old who has had problems off the pitch.

A Marseille insider said: "Arsene rang our chairman. He seemed to be more interested in what kind of person Loic is. He didn't give any trouble in the three years he was here."

Remy's idol is Thierry Henry and he would love to follow in the former Arsenal star's shoes by joining the Gunners.
