Arsenal's award-winning groundsman Paul Burgess is already planning for his move to Real Madrid.

Burgess was at the Santiago Bernabeu this week and told AS: "The pitch is in good condition. I know the southern end has problems because of the lack of light, but I'm working on solutions and have several ideas that I will put into practice."

Burgess was also asked about Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who is highly admired within Real Madrid.

"He's smart, kind and always involved," said Burgess. "He endorses and supports you all the time."
